Derek Parfit

Derek Parfit ( born December 11, 1942 in China ) is a British philosopher, Research Fellow at All Souls College, University of Oxford, and visiting professor at Harvard University, Rutgers University, Princeton University, Temple University, Rice University and the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Derek Parfit is considered one of the most influential moral philosopher of our time. 2011 appeared on what matters, a comprehensive work on rationality and the structure of reasons, Kantian ethics, contractualism, and consequentialism.
