Derek Richardson (actor)

Derek Richardson ( born January 18, 1976 in Glens Falls, New York ) is an American actor.


Derek Richardson began his career as a stage actor before he had his big screen debut with a guest appearance on the American TV series Law & Order. In 2002, he played for a minor supporting role in the series Felicity. He became better known by his first major film role in the movie Dumb and Dumberer in 2003.

2005 and 2007 he played the role of Josh in the horror films Hostel and Hostel 2 of Eli Roth. From 2006 to 2008 he starred in the television series Men in Trees as Patrick Bachelor. In the double episode One Flew into the Cuckoo's Nest the sixth season of House MD, he played the role of Steve Alkateen, a (co- ) patients, who sees himself as a superhero called Freedom Master.

Since 2002, Richardson lives in Los Angeles. Richardson is married since 2012 with Franka Potente, with whom he has a daughter (* 2011).
