Dermot Morgan

Dermot John Morgan ( born March 31, 1952 in Dublin, † 28 February 1998 in London) was an Irish comedian and actor.

Life

Morgan was a trained school teacher who was educated at Oatlands College in Stillorgan and University College Dublin (UCD). He had international success with his role as Father Ted Crilly in the Channel 4 sitcom Father Ted. He died 24 hours after his rotation for the last episode of this TV series after a heart attack. Buried he is in Deansgrange Cemetery, County Dublin.
