Derrick Favors
Derrick Bernard Favors ( born July 15, 1991 Atlanta, United States ) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Utah Jazz in the National Basketball Association since February 2011.
High School and College
Derrick Favors has been performed in many talent lists as the greatest High School Talent of the Year 2009. He won as a player with the South Atlanta High School 2009 state championship, as well as many junior awards including MVP honors at the Jordan Brand Classic 2009 at Madison Square Garden, and at the McDonald 's All- American Game 2009. Similarly, there were many colleges have tried to him to win for their basketball team. In spite of numerous offers to Favors opted for the nearby public Georgia Institute of Technology. After a good rookie season, for which he was awarded the ACC Freshman of the Year, is reported to Favors for the NBA Draft 2010.
NBA
Even prior to the NBA Draft was Favors a great talent, who remembered because of its physical conditions and play on Dwight Howard. When NBA Draft 2010, he was selected third by the New Jersey Nets. He was appointed as part of the All- Star Games in 2011 for the rookie selection. On 23 February 2011 he was transferred along with his teammate Devin Harris for Deron Williams to the Utah Jazz. For his solid performances, which he finished with 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, he was voted All- Rookie team in the NBA at the end of the second season.
In his second Favors increased its statistical values and relieved the starter Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap, coming off the bench. Once again, he was appointed as now reformed BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, the best rookies and sophomores. In the third year, Favors ranked one behind Jefferson and Millsap. Still, he could improve his stats on. Especially in the defense itself Favors continued to develop and led the Jazz with 1.7 blocks per game on.
On October 19, 2013 Favors signed a new contract with the Jazz. This guarantees him 49 million dollars for the next four years.

Just before the NBA Draft 2010, Favors signed a contract with the sportswear manufacturer Adidas.
