Dersekow

Dersekow is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald. It is administered by the Office Landhagen based in New churches.

Geography and transport

Dersekow is located about eight kilometers southwest of Greifswald. North of the village the main road runs 109 Although the federal highway 20 runs through the municipality, but is just about the junction of Greifswald (about 13 km).

History

Old Pansow

Old Pansow was first mentioned in 1248 as " Panzogh ". The name comes from Pan = Mr., so Mr. village as a Slavic settlement.

Dersekow

Dersekow 1218 first mentioned and is therefore probably older than Greifswald. The name Dersekow possibly goes back to a Slavic nobles " of Dirsko ", of whose descendants is a grave slab in the Greifswald cathedral.

Malosiz

The town was first mentioned in 1219 as " Malescisce ". The location is not clearly documented. Probably it was later united with Dersekow. The Slavic name meaning " small". 1248 the site was last called, then falls desolate.

Klein Zastrow

Klein Zastrow was first mentioned in 1248 as " Cyastareo ", then in 1303 as " Zastrowe ". The Slavic place name meaning " to cover, conceal ".

New Pansow

New Pansow was first named as such in 1820. It was originally the Court III. and then expanding to Old Pansow. Toponym see Old Pansow.
