Desiree Scott

Desiree Rose Marie Scott ( born July 31, 1987 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a Canadian soccer player. She plays since the beginning of 2014 for Notts County in the FA WSL and for the Canadian national team in midfield.

Career

Scott went through the Canadian youth national teams and played a total of 21 times for the U-19/20-Mannschaften. With the U-19 team they took at the 2006 CONCACAF U -20 Women's Championship 2006 silver medal and qualified for the U-20 World Cup Women 2006, but resigned in Canada in the preliminary round.

Scott made the age of 22 on 24 February 2010 at the Cyprus Cup, Canada won against Switzerland its first of now 22 internationals. It then became part of the tribe of the team and won in the same year with Canada to the Gold Cup, with the Canada qualified directly for the 2011 World Cup. In 2011 she won the Cyprus Cup with Canada again and was appointed to the Canadian squad for the World Cup. Scott was first off the bench in the second World Cup match against France in the 60th minute after the 0:2 had fallen, but the game could be no turning and Canada lost with 0:4 and thus the chance of the quarter- finals. Also in the last game, it was only a substitute when the decision had already been made.

For the 2012 Olympics, she was also nominated. She came in all six games for use and always played over the full distance.

In the 2013 season she played in the newly established National Women 's Soccer League, the highest American professional league in women's soccer for the FC Kansas City. In January 2014, their change to the English first division club Notts County was (until 2013 Lincoln Ladies FC ) is known.
