Fate three times is a time travel science fiction novel of the American actor and author Fritz Leiber from the year 1945. He appeared in 1981 in German language at the publishing group Luebbe.

Summary

The protagonists Thorn and Clawly are leading scientists and intelligence in their world, which together oversee a project. In this capacity, they discover the existence of two parallel realities. The more real reality is living in the Thorn and Clawly in a liberal society. Here they are celebrities. The second reality is that living in the Thorn and Clawly in a fascist regime. Also in this reality they know each other, but for different reasons. The third reality is a ruined world. Thorn also exists in this world.

As the story progresses win the personality structures from each other's realities more and more influence on their alternate egos. Specifically, the intelligence Clawly from the second reality is always recognizable changed by the motivations of his ego from the first reality.
