Detlef Soost

Detlef Soost ( born July 2, 1970 in Berlin), also D! [ di ː ] or Detlef D! Soost called, is a German dancer and choreographer, best known for his work in the talent show Popstars.

Beginnings and private life

Soost comes from East Berlin and grew up in an orphanage. His mother was German and died when he was twelve years old; his father is from Ghana and is a doctor. Soost took an apprenticeship as a toolmaker, but collected early first stage experience at East Berlin's Metropol Theater.

Soost and his former girlfriend have one daughter and one son. The couple separated in January 2009 after ten years of relationship. His present wife is the singer Kate Hall, with whom he is working on the show Popstars. Their daughter came on 11 February 2010 to the World. Soost lives in Berlin -Mitte.

Career

Soost is the founder of dance schools network D! 'S Dance Club and operates in Berlin-Mitte, the dance school D! ' S Dance School. Detlef Soost has developed show choreographed more than 100 artists. He directed the choreography of a key scene in the Leander Haussmann film Robert Zimmermann wondering about love. In May 2008, the Panini Verlag published the first time the magazine D ' s Dance Mag Detlef Soost has published eight Hip- Hop Dance DVDs and two DVDs with his fitness and wellness program Dantao! ; fit in his book Dance for it provides a guidance of his dance and fitness workouts. As part of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2010 Soost prepared the German participants in a dance flash mob, which was accompanied by the Norwegian group Madcon Glow with the song. He danced in Hamburg with also.

Soost is for ten years and choreographer since the second season jury members in the TV talent show Popstars on ProSieben. He appeared in 2004 and 2006 at the Swiss Talent Show Music Star Swiss television SF. From early 2005 to mid-September of the same year he hosted the magazine Super Illu TV in the MDR. 2005/2006, he hosted on ProSieben coaching magazine Live your life! - Live coaching with Detlef D! Soost. When music channel VIVA Soost moderated 2005-2008 the dance talent show Dance Star. In May and June 2009 he was a jury member of the Talent Show Mascerade - Germany bends to see is the German equivalent of the Japanese show Masquerade. In 2010 he appeared in the second season of hit on the Star and played in the movie Homies a dance teacher. 2011 Soost sat on the jury of the Austrian pop stars edition. 2012 presented Soost a training and nutrition program.
