History

The team was founded in 1991 under the name Michigan Falcons franchise as the inaugural United Hockey League. Following its premiere season the team was renamed the Detroit Falcons. The greatest success of the Falcons was winning the division title in 1992 and 1995. In the playoffs for the Colonial Cup, the team from the metropolitan Detroit area was indeed always present, met by a triple Erstrundenaus but also in the years 1995 and 1996 not the second round also.

Following the 1995/96 season, the franchise was in Port Huron, Michigan, resettled, where it then under the name of Port Huron Border Cats at play operation of the Colonial Hockey League - 1997 United Hockey League - participated.
