Geography

Community structure

The community Dettenheim consists of the former municipalities Liedolsheim and Rußheim. To Liedolsheim include the village Liedolsheim and inn and farm Dettenheim. To Rußheim include the village Rußheim, the place settlement (former RAD - bearing ) and the houses grinding mill, peoples cal estate and forest mill. In the area of Liedolsheim are the waste places Nackheim and Schure.

History

The name Dettenheim goes back to a village on the present-day boundaries of the municipality, which was located directly on the Rhine. All former villagers migrated due to the risk of flooding from (the place was most recently a few hundred meters from the River Rhine ) and subsequently founded in 1813 within the boundaries of the then " Altenbürg " the church Karl village, now part of the municipality of Charles Village Neuthard. In the period of the Weimar Republic Liedolsheim was an early stronghold of the Nazis. There is a bus connection to the Hardt Railway in high Stetten.
