Deus otiosus

Deus otiosus ( " idle god ", " idle god ", " neutral God " or " hidden God " ) is a theological concept that describes the belief in a Creator God, but withdraws after the creation of the world and not in the development of his creation is engaged.

This concept is a central feature of deism.
