Colloquially are after the former main distribution area nor the names " Olper Pad", " Sauerland Pad" or " Westphalian Bracke " familiar.

Description

The German Hound is a lighter, more elegant, too high on leg and powerful dog with proud head carriage. The withers height to 53 cm. For a short-haired dog's hair is long, very dense, hard, almost foxed in red to yellow with black saddle or mantle and the white brackish badge: continuous blaze, white skirt with collar, white chest, white tip of tail. His ears are long (about 14 cm) and wide ( about 9 cm); Close fitting, rounded down.
