Deutsche Rallye-Meisterschaft

The German Rally Championship, aka DRM or rally DM, is the national rally championship in Germany. You will be awarded by the German Motorsport Association.

History

The history of the German Rally Championship dates back to the 1950s, in which the end of the rallies, however, differed from the present process. At that time, these rallies were more reliability and orientation rides. The Rallye Hessen and the Olympia rally in 1972 are regarded as first rallies in the way they were typical of later of the expiration and are for the German Rally Championship. Divisions

The German Rally Championship will be announced exclusively for FIA - vehicle groups, which are divided into the following divisions 2011:

The maximum engine power of vehicles of groups GT2 & GT3 is limited to 300 kW, of vehicles of other groups to 221 kW. In Division 5 -wheel drive and turbocharged engines are prohibited. Diesel vehicles are assigned to all Division 6.

Participation of vehicles of DMSB groups F, G, H and AT -G was already possible before 2010, but they received no points. Since 2010 is also available for these classes Division ratings for which they are authorized points. This does not require enrollment in the DRM is necessary.

World Rally Cars are not allowed on the events of the German Rally Championship since 2009.

Scoring and Ranking

Championship points obtained in the German Rally Championship registered drivers in the Divisions 1 to 6, both for their placement in the overall results as well as for placement in their division. Participants of the divisions 7-9 will not get any points for the championship, but only for their respective Division standings. The scoring follows since 2011 according to the following scheme:

If more than six championship rounds per year each driver is deleted in the year-end standings of the worst outcome. Case of a tie between several drivers decide the best individual results on the placement in the championship.

German Rally Champion will be the one driver who has achieved the highest score at the end of the season. The one driver who has achieved the highest score with a two wheel drive vehicle from Divisions 3 to 6, DRM - winning 2-WD. In addition, those drivers who have in their respective Division achieved the highest score, the winner will be DRM - Division X.
