Deutscher Comedypreis

The German Comedy Prize is awarded each year to comedians for comedy shows and presentations. This is assessed by a jury, which protrudes Olaf Schubert.

For the first time the comedy prize was awarded in 1997, then still without television transmission. Two years later, the ceremony was broadcast on RTL. In 2001, the awards were first presented during a televised gala. Since this time, the transfer of the German Comedy Award, as well as the German Television Award, in the studio 30/31 of " Coloneum Ossett " the MMC ( Magic Media Company) produced.

The price is including in the categories "Best Comedian ", " best comedian ", "Best Comedy Show ", " Best Comedy Series ", " Best Actress in a Comedy Series ", " Best Actor in a Comedy Series ", "Best moderation "," Best Sketch Comedy ", " Best Comedy Event "," Best Newcomer ", " Best TV Soloprogrammr "," The most successful live act "and" most successful movie comedy " awarded. There is also an " Honorary Award for Lifetime Achievement" and various " special prices ".

Carrier

The German Comedy Award, is now awarded International Cologne Comedy Festival since 1997 when the annual " Cologne Comedy Festival". Carrier is the Cologne Comedy Festival GmbH, whose Managing Director are Bärbel Nadolni and Ralf Günther. The awards are judged by an annually changing jury. Jury

The jury, chaired by Olaf Schubert currently consists of the following people: Gerda Müller ( Executive Producer ITV Studios Germany ), Jens Bujar (Creative Director GLE ), Holger Hoffmann ( Executive Producer Prime Productions ), David Anschütz (Author ), Thomas Vass ( Managing Biller & Vass TV) and Oliver Gontram (Cologne Comedy Festival line ). Predecessor as chairman were Otto Waalkes, Jochen Busse and Thomas Hermanns.

Criticism

In episode 80 of the Internet magazine TV Criticism TV journalist Holger Kreymeier put the seriousness of the German Comedy Award in question by criticizing that for some years the list of nominees have not changed and that, for example, in the category " Best Actress " a cycle to was seen. He compared the type of nomination with incest.
