German television broadcast ( DFR ) was called the television the television station Paul Nipkow ( 1935-1944 ).

1935 were presented at the IFA in Berlin, the first televisions. The radio was the actual mass propaganda medium, since almost no one had a television receiver. Nevertheless entertainment programs were transferred as variety shows, or television garden from the roof terrace of the Broadcasting Building, and news broadcasts.

During the 1936 Summer Olympic Games, the TV rooms were fully occupied in the city and the games were broadcast live. After the war began, the transmitter should spread mainly cheerfulness. In winter 1944, the television program was set.
