Deutschland sucht den Superstar (season 7)
The seventh season of the German singing talent show Germany sucht den Superstar aired from January 6 to 17 April 2010 at the television station RTL program.
The seventh season started with the re- consisting of Dieter Bohlen, Nina Eichinger and Volker Neumüller jury. Winner of the seventh season was Mehrzad Marashi, although the runner-up Menowin had won every previous theme show.
In the target group, the squadron reached an average of 4.24 million viewers, which corresponds to 32.71 % market share. Overall, it reached an average of 6.51 million viewers (market share of 19.86 %). The audience at the auditions were over those of the theme shows. The finale reached the highest total number of audience of all consequences; so it was the most successful episode since the finale of the first season, reaching nearly two million more viewers than the finale of the previous season.

Now or Never! - The Top 15 Show
The first live show of the seventh season took place on 13 February 2010. It was originally planned that the seven participants come with most calls directly into the theme shows and three more will be selected by the jury. However, the jury decided that further allow ten candidates with the most votes caller.
First Mottoshow
The first theme show had the title of Mega hits of today and took place on 20 February 2010. On February 21, at 00:07 clock Steffi Landerer was eliminated from the competition.
Second Mottoshow
The second theme show, the biggest pop anthems, took place on 27 February 2010. The four candidates with the fewest votes were callers Kim Debkowski, Ines Redjeb, Marcel Pluschke and Nelson Sangare. At 23:58 clock difference Marcel Pluschke from the competition.
Third Mottoshow
The third theme show was titled Happy Holidays and took place on March 6, 2010. The opening song was on this show a medley of popular songs on the subject of holiday: All Ritmo de la Noche (Original Artist: Chocolate) Ines Redjeb and Kim Debkowski: The Tide Is High (Original Artist: Blondie ) Helmut Orosz and Thomas Karaoglan: All Summer Long ( Original Artist: Kid Rock ) Manuel Hoffmann and Nelson Sangare: Bailamos (Original Artist: Enrique Iglesias) Menowin and Mehrzad Marashi: Mambo No.. 5 (Original Artist: Lou Bega )
The four candidates who got the least votes callers were Kim Debkowski, Ines Redjeb, Manuel Hoffmann and Nelson Sangare. On March 7, at 00:01 clock Marco Schreyl announced that Nelson Sangare was voted out by the viewers.
Fourth Mottoshow
The fourth theme show from March 13, 2010 under the motto The big 80s party. Each candidate sang a song that dates from the years 1980-1989. As the opening song of the remaining seven candidates Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go was sung, who also hails from the 80s and then of Wham! was sung.
All three judges Ines Redjeb and Manuel Hoffmann were cited as worst candidate of the evening. The four candidates with the least amount of caller numbers were Manuel Hoffmann and Ines Redjeb, along with Kim Debkowski and Helmut Orosz. Most callers numbers were Thomas Karaoglan, Hasso Menowin and Mehrzad Marashi.
Consistent with the assessment of the jury, Marco Schreyl announced at 23:59 clock that Ines Redjeb must leave the seventh season of American Idol. Thus Kim Debkowski was the last female contestant.
Fifth Mottoshow
The fifth theme show was held on 20 March 2010. Each candidate went with two songs in the competition. The theme of the fifth theme show was German vs. English; in the first pass, each candidate sang a German song, and then an English during the second pass. The word vs. was an allusion to the fact that between the show and the decision held a boxing match between Wladimir Klitschko and Eddie Chambers.
The joint opening song of the remaining six candidates was Let Me Entertain You by Robbie Williams. After the candidates had sung their first title, the phone lines were released.
All jury members agreed that Helmut Orosz was the worst candidate this evening.
The three candidates with the fewest caller numbers were Thomas Karaoglan, Helmut Orosz and Manuel Hoffmann. On March 21, 2010 at 00:41 clock Marco Schreyl announced that Manuel Hoffmann resigned.
One hour after the end of the broadcast Helmut Orosz was expelled for drug use from the competition. His place was taken by Manuel Hoffmann.
Sixth Mottoshow
The sixth theme show was held on 27 March 2010 and was themed shooter and ballads. In the first pass, each candidate sang a party hit and the second pass a soulful ballad.
The precipitated in the last Mottoshow Manuel Hoffmann was in place of the disqualified Helmut Orosz back in the race.
At the opening of the candidates sang the binge- hit Hey Baby by DJ Otzi.
The three participants with the fewest caller numbers were Thomas Karaoglan, Manuel Hoffmann and Kim Debkowski.
On March 28, 2010 at 0:06 clock Marco Schreyl announced that Thomas Karaoglan received the fewest calls and is excreted.
Seventh Mottoshow
The seventh theme show took place on April 3, 2010. The motto was Old vs. New. In the first round, the candidates sang a title the last five years and in the second round, a slightly older titles. To kick sang all competitors combined the title Crying at the Discoteque by Alcazar.
As shaky candidates of the evening the jury Kim Debkowski called because of their first songs and Menowin because of his behavior during the week.
The semifinals of the seventh season Menowin and Manuel Hoffmann after caller Voting Marashi, was elected. At 23:30 clock Marco Schreyl announced that Kim Debkowski is excreted. She is the best female candidate of the seventh season.
Semifinal
Manuel Hoffmann, Mehrzad Marashi and Menowin fought on April 10 for a ticket for the upcoming finals. For the first time this season, each candidate sang three songs. The motto of the three rounds denominated boy band songs, personal music heroes and no. 1 hits.
It is worth mentioning that Marashi after his song I know nothing (which is as beautiful as you ) has his partner made a marriage proposal and these consented.
After all the candidates had sung their three songs, presented Mark Medlock, the winner of the fourth season, his new song Real Love.
At 23:45 Marco Schreyl announced that Manuel is excreted again. In the final, were thus Mehrzad Marashi and Menowin.
Final
On 17 April, Menowin and Mehrzad Marashi stood against in the final. In the first round the counterparty sang a song of their choice, then a song they have already sung in a live show and in the third round, each sang the winning song Do not Believe.
As the flight of a jury member Nina Eichinger was canceled the show due to the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull, she was represented by Sylvie van der Vaart. Van der Vaart was already at Das Supertalent with Dieter Bohlen in a jury.
As the opening song sang the already eliminated top 10 candidates (except Helmut Orosz ) I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas.
The jury unanimously named as favorites Menowin.
Shortly before the decision sang Marashi and Cheerful together the song Sweat ( A La La La La Long) by Inner Circle. Both had successfully sung this song already in the recall as a duet.
Mehrzad Marashi is the winner of the seventh season and thus Superstar 2010.
