Deutschland sucht den Superstar (season 7)

The seventh season of the German singing talent show Germany sucht den Superstar aired from January 6 to 17 April 2010 at the television station RTL program.

The seventh season started with the re- consisting of Dieter Bohlen, Nina Eichinger and Volker Neumüller jury. Winner of the seventh season was Mehrzad Marashi, although the runner-up Menowin had won every previous theme show.

The first live show of the seventh season took place on 13 February 2010. It was originally planned that the seven participants come with most calls directly into the theme shows and three more will be selected by the jury. However, the jury decided that further allow ten candidates with the most votes caller.

The four candidates who got the least votes callers were Kim Debkowski, Ines Redjeb, Manuel Hoffmann and Nelson Sangare. On March 7, at 00:01 clock Marco Schreyl announced that Nelson Sangare was voted out by the viewers.

Fourth Mottoshow

The fourth theme show from March 13, 2010 under the motto The big 80s party. Each candidate sang a song that dates from the years 1980-1989. As the opening song of the remaining seven candidates Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go was sung, who also hails from the 80s and then of Wham! was sung.

All three judges Ines Redjeb and Manuel Hoffmann were cited as worst candidate of the evening. The four candidates with the least amount of caller numbers were Manuel Hoffmann and Ines Redjeb, along with Kim Debkowski and Helmut Orosz. Most callers numbers were Thomas Karaoglan, Hasso Menowin and Mehrzad Marashi.

Fifth Mottoshow

The fifth theme show was held on 20 March 2010. Each candidate went with two songs in the competition. One hour after the end of the broadcast Helmut Orosz was expelled for drug use from the competition. His place was taken by Manuel Hoffmann.

Sixth Mottoshow

The sixth theme show was held on 27 March 2010 and was themed shooter and ballads. In the first pass, each candidate sang a party hit and the second pass a soulful ballad.

The precipitated in the last Mottoshow Manuel Hoffmann was in place of the disqualified Helmut Orosz back in the race.

At the opening of the candidates sang the binge- hit Hey Baby by DJ Otzi.

Seventh Mottoshow

The seventh theme show took place on April 3, 2010. The motto was Old vs. New. In the first round, the candidates sang a title the last five years and in the second round, a slightly older titles. To kick sang all competitors combined the title Crying at the Discoteque by Alcazar.

As shaky candidates of the evening the jury Kim Debkowski called because of their first songs and Menowin because of his behavior during the week.

The semifinals of the seventh season Menowin and Manuel Hoffmann after caller Voting Marashi, was elected. At 23:30 clock Marco Schreyl announced that Kim Debkowski is excreted. She is the best female candidate of the seventh season.

Semifinal

Manuel Hoffmann, Mehrzad Marashi and Menowin fought on April 10 for a ticket for the upcoming finals. For the first time this season, each candidate sang three songs. The motto of the three rounds denominated boy band songs, personal music heroes and no. 1 hits.
