Deutschlandradio

The Germany Radio ( DRadio, former acronym DLR) produces the three nationwide radio stations Germany radio and DRadio knowledge ( at the radio station Cologne) and Germany radio culture ( at the radio station Berlin). It is a corporation founded on 1 January 1994 under public law with headquarters in Cologne and Berlin. Directorship and management have their headquarters in Cologne. For the first director Ernst Elitz was chosen. Since April 1, 2009 Willi Steul is artistic director. Program Director since September 2011 Andreas -Peter Weber.

The Germany radio has an annual budget of 180 million Euros (2006); It bills itself as the national radio.

History

The public corporation Germany Radio, written by March 2005 Germany Radio, was built on 1 January 1994 by a treaty of all 16 states of the Federal Republic of Germany. The treaty stipulates that in Berlin and Cologne, one national German -language radio program is produced. The members of the corporation are the ZDF and the broadcasters of the ARD. The programs are commercial-free and are funded from the broadcast contribution.

Germany (DLF ) is the information and cultural program. It is the successor of the same radio program, which aired until 1993 by the then existing independent broadcaster Radio Germany ( based in Cologne). Germany radio culture ( 'Culture ), formerly Germany Radio Berlin, the cultural program. DLR Berlin emerged from the former West Berlin radio station RIAS 1 and the East Berlin station DS culture. Organs

The management of the Germany radio is up to the directors, which is elected by the Radio Broadcasting for a term of five years. Transmission facilities

Digital all three programs nationwide online, spread over the Astra satellite system and on -air via antenna DAB stations. Germany radio knowledge is in accordance with state contract exclusively digital format in order to promote the " much needed acceptance of digital distribution channels for the radio ." The transmission facilities for the dissemination of the programs of Germany radios are predominantly of Deutsche Telekom AG. Only the transmitter program dissemination of Germany in Berlin- Britz radio on FM is owned by the Germany radio.

Service for navigation

Over the medium-wave transmitter Neumünster ( 1269 kHz) of the Germany radio and the long-wave transmitter Zehlendorf (177 kHz) of Germany radio culture are sent daily at 1:05, 6:40 and 11:05 clock sea weather.
