Devin Harris
Devin Lamar Harris ( born February 27, 1983 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin ) is an American professional basketball player.
Life
Devin Harris attended East High School in Wauwatosa. There he played both basketball and a volleyball season. There he was appointed to the All- Conference team. After a year of high school, he decided to retire from volleyball to devote himself to basketball. In his sophomore season, he was due to various injuries rarely used. In his senior season, his performance positively exploded and he set a new scoring record. In addition, his team finished the season undefeated and Harris was elected in 2001 Mr. Basketball in the state of Wisconsin. His jersey with the number 20 was exhibited at the Wauwatosa East in 2007.
Devin Harris accepted the offer of the University of Wisconsin -Madison and played from then on for the Wisconsin Badgers. Devin Harris was drafted in the 1st round in 5th place of the Washington Wizards. As already discussed with the Dallas Mavericks, exchanged the Wizards Harris along with Jerry Stackhouse and Christian Laettner to get in return Antawn Jamison. In Dallas, he should grow up in the shadow of Steve Nash to be a top playmaker. Nash, however, decided in the offseason to accept an offer from the Phoenix Suns. Under Coach Don Nelson Harris started in the first 19 games of the season 2004/ 05 and was Rookie of the Month in November. The remaining 57 games he looked at from the bench. In March 2005, Don Nelson resigned, and Avery Johnson became the new head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, who built on Jason Terry in the starting lineup. At the end of the season Harris posted 5.7 points, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals.

With the Hawks Harris managed a place in the playoffs in 2013. However, where the team retired in the first round. For the 2013/2014 season Harris moved to the end of his contract back to the Dallas Mavericks. There he was given a contract until 2016.
