Devin Nunes

Devin Nunes ( born October 1, 1973 at Tulare County, California) is an American politician. Since 2003 he represents the state of California in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Devin Nunes attended Tulare Union High School. Later he graduated from the College of the Sequoias in Visalia and then to 1996, the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Subsequently, he worked as a farmer and private businessman. At the same time he began a political career as a member of the Republican Party. In 2001, he was Head of Department of Rural Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

In the congressional elections of 2002, Nunes was in the 21st electoral district of California in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Bill Thomas on January 3, 2003. After five previous elections he can exercise his mandate in Congress today. Since January 3, 2013, is representing 22 electoral district of his state. In his time as a congressman of the Iraq war and the military mission in Afghanistan fell. In recent legislative sessions, he served as a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Veterans Committee. Between 2011 and 2013 he sat in the Intelligence Committee and the Committee on Ways and Means, and in two of its subcommittees. Private Nunes lives in Tulare.
