Devon Sawa
Devon Edward Sawa ( born September 7, 1978 in Vancouver, British Columbia ) is a Canadian film actor.
Biography
Sawa grew up as one of three children of Ed and Joyce Sawa. His interest in becoming an actor, was awakened by an appearance in the children's theater in kindergarten.
1993, at the age of 15, he made his film debut in " The Return of Sherlock Holmes". After two more small roles, he had his breakthrough in 1995 with the comedy film Casper. Although he was only five minutes a presence in the film, enough so to allow other film directors were aware of him. Since that time, he was in several productions before the film camera. Among the best known so far is one of 2000 produced thriller Final Destination.
In addition, Sawa was seen in a commercial for the toy brand Nerf toys and each in a music video of rapper Eminem ( "Stan" The Marshall Mathers LP) as well as the rock band Why Store.
In 2012, he stood next to Mia Kirshner and Nick Stahl in the found footage thriller 388 Arletta Avenue in front of the camera and turned the horror film Sibling.
Private
During the filming of Casper, he met Christina Ricci know and was also briefly romantically involved with her. Since 2006, he is dating Rachel Evelyn Matthews, with whom he has a daughter.

- For his role in the TV movie Night of the hurricanes Sawa in 1997 received a nomination for a Young Artist Award.
- 2000 Sawa was nominated for his role in The Killer hand for a Saturn Award.
- In 2001 he won for his performance in Final Destination a Saturn Award and was also nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award.
