Dhangadhi

Development region

Dhangadhi is a city ( Nepali: Nagarpalika, English: municipality ) in the far west of Nepal. It is located in the Terai in the district of Kailali in the Seti Zone near the border with the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh at an altitude of 176 m .. The status as a municipality gained Dhangadhi 1976.

Dhangadhi is the economic center and administrative headquarters of Seti Zone. There is a small airport with regular connections to Kathmandu.

Climate

The climate is subtropical with very hot summers and mild winters. The monsoon begins in early June and lasts until September.
