Dhivehi League

The Dhivehi League, also: Wataniya Dhivehi League, is a professional football league in the Maldives. It is also the highest league in the country. The league was founded in 2000. 's Champion League qualifies, along with the Cup Winners' Cup, for participation in the AFC Cup. Record winner and reigning champion at the same time is the club Valencia.

Mode

In a rather complicated mode, both the master and the losers are determined. At the same time, the League serves as the qualifying tournament for the Maldives National Championships. In the first round of the league eight teams carry only one game against each other. The top six teams qualify for the second round of the league. Here the teams also carry a game against each other.
