Dhubri ( Assamese: ধুবুৰী Dhubri [d ʱ UBRI ] ) is a town in the Indian state of Assam. It is located about 290 kilometers west of Guwahati on the north bank of the Brahmaputra near the border with Bangladesh. Dhubri had at the time of census 2001 63.965 inhabitants and is the capital of the district of Dhubri.

Dhubri was once an important trading center and had a harbor which served as a transshipment point for jute in particular.

On April 30, 2012, near the city of a ferry accident on the Brahmaputra, in which more than 100 people died occurred. This is one of the most serious maritime disasters in recent history of South Asia.
