Dhule ( Marathi: धुळे, Dhule ) is a town in the Indian state of Maharashtra with around 376,000 inhabitants ( 2011 census ). It is the administrative seat of the district Dhule.

In 1601, Dhule was part of the Mughal Empire. In the 18th century the city came under the rule of the Marathas. 1818, the British captured and annexed it in Dhule district Khandesh.
