Diamond dust

Polar Snow (also diamond snow, diamond dust, diamond dust English ) is a form of precipitation in the form icicles by Resublimation directly from the water vapor in the boundary layer air and fall to the ground. The sky can be cloudless. Since the near-ground air contains numerous small ice needles under Polar Snow conditions varied halos can be generated if an appropriate light source (sun, moon, but also artificial light sources ) is available. Polar Snow usually occurs on during very cold periods with two -digit sub-zero temperatures.
