Diana Scarwid
Diana Scarwid ( born August 27, 1955 in Savannah, Georgia ) is an American actress.
Life and achievements
Scarwid moved at the age of 17 years to New York City to become an actress. She graduated from New York's Pace University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Scarwid debuted in an episode of the television series Starsky & Hutch from the year 1976. In the film drama Pretty Baby ( 1978) she played alongside Brooke Shields and Susan Sarandon. For his role in the film drama Max 's Bar (1980 ) by Richard Donner, she was nominated in 1981 for an Oscar. For his role in the film drama Mommie Dearest (1981 ), in which she starred with Faye Dunaway, she received the 1982 Golden Raspberry Awards. For his role in the science-fiction film The Secret of Centreville (1983 ) she was nominated for the 1984 Golden Raspberry Awards.
In the film drama Extremities (1986 ) she played the role of Terry, the roommate of Marjorie ( Farrah Fawcett ), who is being harassed by Joe ( James Russo ). For his role in the television drama Truman - wrote The man of history ( 1995), in which she starred opposite Gary Sinise, she was nominated in 1996 for an Emmy Award. In the thriller What Lies Beneath (2000) she starred opposite Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. For this role she was nominated in 2001 for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award. In 2004, she appeared in the television series Wonderfalls. In addition, they often also guest-starred in series like Lost and Prison Break.
Scarwid is married to Dr. Eric Sheinbart since 1977 and has two children.
