Diane Dodds

Diane Dodds ( born August 16, 1958 in Banbridge ) is a British politician of the Democratic Unionist Party.

Life

Dodds attended the Banbridge Academy and studied History and English to become a teacher at Queen's University Belfast. From November 26 2003 to March 7, 2007, she was a successor to Joe Hendron MPs in the Northern Ireland Assembly. In 2007, she lost her seat in the Northern Ireland Assembly to Jennifer McCann of Sinn Féin. Since 2009 Dodds MEP in the European Parliament. As MEP Dodds is a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and the Delegation for relations with Israel. As Deputy Dodds has been working in the fisheries committee.

In the Belfast City Council Dodds is a member. She is married to the politician and lawyer Nigel Dodds.
