Diane Sartor

Diana Sartor ( born November 23, 1970 in Dippoldiswalde ) is a former German Skeleton driver.

Sports career

In 2003, Sartor was second in the European Championships in St. Moritz in Switzerland. In 2004, they both European champion as well as world champion in skeleton. The following year she won at the 2005 European Championships in Altenberg bronze. At Olympic Games she won in both 2002 in Salt Lake City and Turin 2006 to fourth place and continued to do so each short of a medal over. She finished after the Olympic Games in Turin, her active career, but was planning a return to the 2007/08 season for the 2008 World Championship on their home track in Altenberg. However, they could not qualify, because the competition was too great in the German women's team. At the opening of the World Cup Sartor announced that they will only participate as a tracking carriage driver.

After sports

In 2003, she met her husband Steffen Skel, with whom she has been married since 2010. They have two children, a girl and a boy. In October 2008, Sartor qualified via The kitchen battle for the mission Lanz cooks!.

Since her departure in 2008 from the German performance sports Sartor has worked for the Free Voters in the district council Saxon Switzerland & Eastern Ore Mountains. For the parliamentary election in 2013 it occurs as a direct candidate of the Free Voters in the constituency 158.
