Diane Venora

Diane Venora ( born August 10, 1952 in Hartford, Connecticut as Diana Venora ) is an American actress.

Life

After her youth in Hartford Diane Venora attended the prestigious Juilliard School of Drama and made ​​his reputation as a stage actress as well as an outstanding interpreter of Shakespeare. A highlight of her career on stage in 1983 was the presentation of Hamlet at the New York Shakespeare Festival - it was the first time that a woman played the title role.

At the same time, she played several supporting roles in film and television before them in the role of Chan Parker critics and audiences rave in Clint Eastwood's Bird ( 1988). For her performance, she received the New York Film Critics Award and was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Venora, however, has a daughter with the director and cinematographer Andrzej Bartkowiak (Speed), the couple soon separated again.
