Diani Beach

Diani Beach is about 25 km long, gently sloping, white sand beach of the Indian Ocean in Kenya. It is located around 35 kilometers south of Mombasa. Diani Beach is the tourist center of the southern coast.

In front of the beach are reefs that both the sharks away, than break the waves of the sea. The reefs are popular dive sites. Larger towns nearby are Ukunda, with an airport for domestic flights, and Msambweni.

Diani Beach is located in the remains of the coastal forest Jadini Forest. This is home to the largest Kenyan holdings of Angola colobus monkey. About their protection informs the conservation center of Colobustrust. It builds inter alia rope ladder -like suspension bridges " Colobridges ", by which the animals can cross streets safely.
