Dianne Holum

Dianne Holum ( born May 19, 1951 in Chicago) is a former American speed skater.

At the Olympic Games in Grenoble 1968 she won the silver medal over 500 meters and the bronze medal over 1000 meters. In the 1972 Olympics she won the gold medal in the 1500 meters. About 3000 meters she could her medal collection again add silver.

After her career as a runner, she was a trainer and oversaw Eric Heiden with five times its success at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid. Her daughter Kirstin Holum was also speed skater.
