Dick Ebersol

Richard " Dick" Ebersol ( born July 28, 1947 in Torrington, Connecticut ) is a radio and television personality. He originally came from the American Broadcasting Company ABC Sports- man Roone Arledge. When he began at NBC, he left the show Saturday Night Live in 1975 arise. He was named NBC Sports president in 1989.

He received a bachelor's graduation from Yale University in 1971.

Ebersol is married to actress Susan Saint James since 1981, the two had three children together, two more children were brought from Saint James to the marriage.

On November 28, 2004 Ebersol was seriously injured in a crash of a charter plane in Montrose, Colorado. In the plane crash pilot and co- pilot of the Bombardier CL -601 died. One of Ebersols sons, Edward "Teddy" Ebersol ( born 10 June 1990), was missing after the crash - later his body was found. Teddy was the 14th episode of the fourth season of Scrubs - Dedicated to beginners, an American sitcom. The planned flight route led from Montrose Regional Airport near the Telluride ski area to South Bend, Indiana. In South Bend Ebersols son Charles attended the Notre Dame High School. Charles survived the crash. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff because a heavy snow storm disabled the view.
