Dictyate

Dictyotene (also called stage Dyktiotän ) denotes a resting phase in oogenesis in mammals, including humans. Until the 5th month of development of female embryonic development occur approximately 7 million primordial follicles. You enter into the Diktyotänstadium and make their maturation in the prophase of the first meiotic division until puberty. At this stage, die V.A. in the cortical region of the ovary from very many follicles ( ovarian ). What remains in the medullary region of the ovary until puberty approximately 400,000. From puberty to menopause every month to reactivate 5-15 primordial follicles and stimulates the maturation (only one follicle is discharged ultimately involved in ovulation, the other die ). Some primordial follicles remain decades ( until menopause ) in dictyotene stage.
