Diddl

Diddl is a cartoon figure of the artist Thomas Goletz, which is marketed by the despatch Vertrieb GmbH & Co. KG, based in Geesthacht.

History

On August 24, 1990 Goletz made ​​the first sketch of " Kinder " at that time still as a kangaroo. From the kangaroo then a jumping mouse developed in later sketches. The Diddl Mouse is not a cartoon character in the strict sense, since they had their first appearances not in comics, books or cartoons, but a product that was invented solely for the sale of kitsch. For the first time she was seen in 1991 on a 48 -part series of postcards. Later, other products such as blocks, the leaves of children, adolescents and adults are collected partly followed. Today there are about a thousand products such as plush toys, collecting pictures, calendars, satchels, PC games, linens, crayons, bath foam, radio plays, candy, lip balm, etc, which are exported to 26 countries. The despatch sales company founded in 1985 with three employees moved from Hamburg to Geesthacht, today employs around 350 employees, of which 220 are in Geesthacht, and has a turnover of hundreds of millions. Since 2009 she is again available in newsagents. The Diddl products are available in 16 languages.
