Didi Senft

Dieter " Didi " Senft ( born February 7, 1952 in Reichenwalde in Berlin ) also known as El Diablo is a German locksmith, artists, inventors and bike designer from Storkow (Mark). In GDR times, was Senft Radamateur and multiple district champion.

Since 1992 he has been a passionate fan of cycling a fixture of the international cycling scene. Making his first appearance in this role he had in the Tour de France stage to Andorra. Meanwhile, he is present with his giant bike at all major bike races. As a devil in disguise - hence the nickname El Diablo - he fires the racers about 10 kilometers from each end of the stage passionately. He often sat on an oversized unicycle at the kilometer marker 25 km from the finish line, waving a trident. At the Tour de France 2005, he appeared onstage at the 11th stage in the green costume to advertise with the slogan away from oil for Alliance 90/The Greens. Dressed as Santa Claus opened Didi Senft the Christmas season in Brandenburg. His reputation goes far beyond the borders of Germany: he was even in an anime (title: Andalusia no Natsu: Nasu ) immortalized and mentioned in an episode of the American comic strip series Yehuda Moon.

Senft also developed bicycle curios and stands with the World Record for the largest tandem in the world as well as other bikes built by him in the Guinness Book of World Records. In 2004 he opened Storkower district of New Boston a museum of curiosities bicycle, in which all 17 wheels, with whom he remains in the Guinness Book, and other cycling exhibits will be shown.

In addition to his activities as cycling enthusiasts Didi Senft is also present in other sporting events, usually with fancy motif - bikes and in his traditional devil costume. So he visited with a specially designed "Football Bike ", the 2008 European Football Championships in Switzerland and Austria.
