Didier Pitre

Didier Pitre ( born September 1, 1883 in Valleyfield, Quebec, . † July 29, 1934 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario ) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who in his playing days from 1903 to 1923 among others for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League has played.

Career

Didier Pitre began his career as a hockey player in 1903 at the Montreal Nationals. After another amateur stations at the American Soo Indians, Montreal Shamrocks and Edmonton Eskimos, was the aggressor in 1909 a contract with the newly formed Montreal Canadiens, for whom he had the following four years active in the professional National Hockey Association. After a year at the Vancouver Millionaires of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association, the Canadian returned to Montreal, with whom he won the prestigious Stanley Cup in season 1915/16 for the first and only time in his career. In 1917, Pitre participated with the team from Québec to the National Hockey League newly established, in which he ended his career in 1923. He died in 1934 at the age of 50 years. For his achievements, he was honored in 1962 with induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
