Didier van Cauwelaert

Didier van Cauwelaert ( born July 29, 1960 in Nice ) is a French writer.

Didier van Cauwelaert began his literary career in 1982 with his debut novel Vingt ans et des poussières. Since then he has written several novels, which attracted mostly positive criticism and have been translated into various languages. In addition, he writes comics and writes plays. He received several literary awards, including the 1994 Prix Goncourt literary prize for his novel The Foundling ( Un aller simple ).
