In the years from 1986 to 1992 originated in three seasons a total of 23 episodes of 45 minutes each, which were broadcast on ARD evening program and in the third program of the BR.

The 50 -year-old Martha Haslbeck is a janitor in an old tenement house in the northern Balanstraße in Munich's Haidhausen. My former husband Joseph, to whom she was married for 25 years, is indeed married again, but underestimated the kitchen and living his ex- wife. The world of work is not really him. Naturally, this caused friction, as Ilse, applying his "new " in a managerial position as a successful banker, no understanding of Joseph Schlendrianleben. Ilse's naive way, at Joseph's ex-wife Martha always pick up "tips" for a better, more harmonious coexistence with him, meets with Martha with little understanding.
But not only " ex ", but also their daughter Christa including significant other / husband and the residents make Martha 's life between work, self-realization and a new love (Costa ) is not always easy.
Private but puts Martha back always.
