Die swell
Swelling is an irreversible wrinkles and wave formation in flat sheet material. It is inter alia the case of thin polypropylene films ( from 30 microns and thinner ) to observe a phenomenon. The reasons are, for example, in the migration of mineral oil- based inks or inorganic substances into the polypropylene matrix or to a lack of waiting time and lack of drying after printing of products that are packaged in the films.
