The Wilsheimer was a six -part television series directed by Claus Peter Witt in 1987, who played in the fictional town Wilsheim and is also published in book form.
The film was shot in Frankfurt am Main in the Harheim district.
The screenplay was written by Horst pillau, who is also responsible for the series somersault and Dalli Dalli and for individual pieces of Ohnsorg theater.
Besides Hansjörg Felmy in the lead role of the contractor, Jean Ziegler, Gila von Weitershausen played his wife Lilo Ziegler. The series The Wilsheimer describes the rise of the contractor, Jean Ziegler against various hostile, the development of the town Wilsheim and many serene and serious episodes from the life of its inhabitants in six parts. The place Wilsheim threatens to become incorporated in the TV series of the city of Frankfurt, what the residents want to prevent at all costs. The contractor Ziegler sees many benefits, especially financial, and most of all he believes even well get out there.
