Diego da Silva Costa ( born October 7, 1988 in Lagarto, Sergipe ) is a Brazilian- Spanish footballer who plays in the Spanish Primera División plays for Atlético Madrid.
Career
In the club
Diego da Silva Costa began as a teenager his career at Barcelona Esportivo Capela. At 16 he went to Portugal for Sporting Braga. First, he was loaned to FC Penafiel, in which he made bigger clubs in Europe 's attention. In the battle for the young and talented striker Atlético Madrid won the race; rather than to use it himself, he was awarded alongside his team-mate Mario Suárez, because he had no passport at this time and therefore could not be accommodated in the squad in the 2007/ 08 season but División at Celta Vigo in the Segunda. For the 2008/ 09 season, Costa was on loan at Spanish second division side Albacete Balompie. There, he scored nine goals in 35 games and recommended for higher tasks. The following season, Atlético gave it to the first division club Real Valladolid. On September 13, 2009, he was there his debut in the Primera División in the game against Valencia. In the National Team
In March 2013 he was appointed national coach Luiz Felipe Scolari for the first time in the squad of the Brazilian national team. In the two friendlies against Italy and Russia, he came on as a substitute in the final quarter of an hour and has not re-appointed.
After he had come in any competitive game for use, he decided in October 2013, to continue to play for the Spanish national football team. He was then nominated by Vicente del Bosque for the international matches against Guinea on November 16, 2013 and on November 19, 2013 against South Africa, where he however failed due to a muscle tear. His debut finally celebrated Costa on March 5, 2014 in a 1-0 friendly win against Italy over the full season.
