Diego Fabbri

Diego Fabbri ( born July 2 1911 in Forli; † August 14, 1980 in Riccione ) was an Italian playwright and screenwriter whose works edit mainly Christian themes.

Life

Fabbri studied economics at the University of Bologna. From 1940 to 1950 he was director of the Catholic Center for cinematography. From 1968 he was director of the Italian theater authority EIT. He wrote scripts for approximately 50 films. 1962 his screenplay for The wrong general to the Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay was proposed. In 1977, he received a Antonio Feltrinelli Prize. Fabbri was honored posthumously by naming a theater in his hometown of Forli and a center at the University of Bologna.
