Diego Martin

Diego Martin is a town in northwestern Trinidad. It lies just west of the capital Port of Spain and east of Carenage. It is a densely populated area in a valley of the Northern Range. The city was named after a Spanish explorer Don Diego Martin. The area was first settled in the 1780s by French plantation owners and their slaves.

Diego Martin consists of many individual cities, such as: Congo Village, Diamond Vale, Green Hill, Patna Village, Petit Valley, La Puerta, Rich Plain, River Estate and Sierra Leone.
