Diego Rodolfo Placente ( born April 24, 1977 in Buenos Aires ) is a former Argentine football player with an Italian passport.

Association

Diego Placente began his career in his hometown of Buenos Aires in the Argentinos Juniors from 1997 to 2001, he played for River Plate, with whom he celebrated three Argentine league titles. His debut for the national team of Argentina celebrated Placente in 2000 against Mexico. With the Albiceleste he took part in the Football World Cup 2002, Copa America 2004 and Confederations Cup 2005. However, it was not included in the Argentine squad for the World Cup 2006.
