Diensdorf-Radlow

Diensdorf -Radlow ( Lower Dimšojce - Radłów ) is a municipality in the western Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg. It belongs to the Office Scharmutzelsee, which has its headquarters in the town of Bad Saarow.

Geography

The municipality is located on the eastern shore of the Scharmützel about five kilometers south of the core of Bad Saarow and is bordered to the north by the bathroom Saarower living space Theresienhof. In the south, the municipality of Wendish Rietz and in the east the municipality Rietz -Neuendorf connects.

Community structure

The community Diensdorf -Radlow has eliminated any local or parts of municipalities according to the Main Articles of Association. The two formerly independent municipalities Diensdorf Radlow and are merely living spaces within the ( entire) community.

History

Diene village was first mentioned in documents in 1490. The first entry of Radlow dates back to 1445th Prehistoric excavations prove, however, that the place was inhabited since 3400 years ago. While Radlow seat was a manor and from 1634 to 1802 was one of the Löschebrandschen possessions, Diensdorf was more influenced by fishermen and farmers. In both places the brickyard played a major role in the 19th century and the early 20th century. The predominantly red brick houses attest to this today. Through the expansion of Storkower channel from 1862 to 1865 was an active ship transport to Berlin, the bricks from Radlow to Spandau brought for the expansion of the local citadel.

With the expansion of further transport links such as railways and roads, the villages began in the early 20th century to develop resorts. In Diensdorf a boat yard that swelled the water sports and tourism in the village was founded. 1961 were merged to form a community and Diensdorf Radlow.
