Diesel (artist)

Johnny Diesel (born Mark Lizotte, born May 31, 1967 in Fall River, Massachusetts, United States) is an Australian rock musician and guitarist. He has recorded both plates under the name of Mark Lizotte or under the stage name Johnny Diesel.

Youth

Although born in the United States, attracted the parents of Mark Lizotte shortly after the birth of the child into the Australian Perth. Mark was great with a lot of different musical instruments, but especially the electric guitar had it done to him. Mark Lizotte played in the bands The Child, The Innocent Bystanders and Closeaction. Together with the group The Innocent Bystanders he took in 1983 on his first record. In June 1986 he left the band.

Johnny Diesel and the Injectors (1987-1990)

Mark Lizotte took in 1987 at the stage name Johnny Diesel and started the band Johnny Diesel and the Injectors.

The eponymous album Johnny Diesel and the Injectors was recorded in Memphis (Tennessee), produced it was taken by Terry Manning and March 1989. The band won two ARIA Awards for Best New Talent and Best Selling Album of the Year. From the debut record more than 280,000 copies were sold.

Diesel (1991-1998)

At this time he broke up the band to under the name Diesel and the single Love Junk reappear in July 1991. In 1992, the board Hepfidelity followed with the additional extractions Come To Me, Tip of My Tongue, Man Alive and One More Time. The record sold more than 200,000 copies. Diesel thus won two ARIA Awards for Best Album and Best Male Artist in 1992.

In August 1993, then followed The lobbyist, which consisted of a mix of new songs, revised pieces of Hepfidelity plate and some cover versions. Again won for this plate a ARIA Award for Best Male Artist.

In 1994, then Solid State Rhyme with the singles All Come Together, Fifteen Feet of Snow and Get It On was released. Also, this plate was repeatedly awarded with platinum.

Then changed his diesel for a plate style with Short Cool Ones, an album of blues cover pieces and a new piece of diesel. He took this on board with the Australian blues musician Chris Wilson. In 1996 he brought his Best of plate Rewind - The Best Of on the market. In the same year he moved with his family to New York City.

At this point in his career Diesel had sold over 800,000 records.

Comeback as Mark Lizotte

Diesel returned in 1999 under his real name of Mark Lizotte Soul Lost Companion to the plate in the music business. The single releases of this plate were the songs Dig and Satellite.

2002 to today

Diesel came in 2002 from New York back to Australia and in October 2002 published the plate Hear. In 2004, then appeared the acoustic plate Singled Out.
