Dietach

Steyr is a municipality with 3032 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Upper Austria in the district of Steyr-Land in Traun quarter.

The competent court is the district of Steyr.

Geography

The expansion is 6.6 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 6.4 km. 17.1 % of the area of the municipality is forested, 72.2% used for agriculture.

Katastralgemeinden: Oberdietach, Mitterdietach and Unterdietach. Other towns are Steyr, Dietachdorf, Stadlkirchen, Thann, Winkling, Heuberg and Niedergleink.

History

Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. In 1991, the municipality had 2113 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 2436 inhabitants.
