Dieter Kalt

Dieter Kalt Jr. ( born June 26, 1974 in Klagenfurt ) is a retired Austrian ice hockey player who was most recently at the EC KAC under contract. He was the captain of the Austrian national team.

Career

Training at the KAC

Dieter Kalt began his career in the youth of Carinthia's elite clubs EC KAC. He went through the complete training of the club, and won many junior titles. Due to the international relations of his father, Dieter Kalt sen., He participated in many training camps leading to the " Hockey countries " USA, Czechoslovakia, USSR ( Soviet Union ) and Canada participate.

With 14 years Dieter Kalt for the first time in the student team ( U17 ) of the Austrian national team was convened. His debut in Teamdress he was at a tournament in the Dutch city of Tilburg. Professional career

As a player

In 1990, Dieter Kalt was appointed for the first time in the seniors team of KAC, with which he in 1990/91, the Austrian championship won in the season. From then on he was a regular in the first team of KAC. For the 1996/97 season signed a contract with the German club cold Adler Mannheim, with whom he was in 1997 and a year later won the German championship.

After three successful years in the German Ice Hockey League, he returned to Carinthia, and was awarded the Klagenfurt AC Austrian Vice Champion. The play-off final lost against the rivals from Klagenfurt Villach in six games 4-2. Around the turn of the millennium, he played in Los Angeles at the Long Beach Ice Dogs. In spring 2000, Cold returned to Austria, played for the KAC in the Austrian playoffs and shot the Carinthian winning the championship title. After he stood for the Cologne Sharks in the 2000 /01 season on the ice, he joined in the summer of 2001 in the Swedish Elitserien to Färjestad BK. There he could win with his new club, the Swedish Championship. In 2004, Dieter Kalt received a contract with the Vienna Capitals, where he was appointed captain and rose to become a leading player. After a victory of his team in the playoff final against AC Klagenfurt he again won the Austrian championship with the Capitals. It was the first league title of a Viennese ice hockey team for 42 years.

After the title in 2005, a change was followed for EC Red Bull Salzburg. The PTC was a four-year contract and won as captain in the seasons 2006 /07 and 2007/ 08 the champion and 2008/09, the runner-up title. In spring 2009 he signed a contract with Luleå HF for the playoffs. In the 2009/10 season, who was born in Klagenfurt returned to his native town and played up to the 2011/12 season for his hometown club EC KAC.

After cold had turned down the offer by the KAC for financial reasons and he did not get any other offers, he announced on September 20, 2012 end of his career known.

As coach
