Dieter Lieberwirth

Dieter " Jogi" Dear Wirth ( born January 13, 1954 in Fürth ) is a former German football player.

Playing career

The defensive midfielder Dear Dieter Wirth began after working for ESV Nuremberg marshalling yard and TSV Roth his professional career in 1975 in the 2nd Bundesliga for the 1st FC Nuremberg. With the club rose in 1978 in the Bundesliga, and brought it up to his career end after descent and re- ascent of Nuremberg to 139 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 18 goals. In 1982 he played at the legendary DFB Cup final match between 1.FC Nuernberg and FC Bayern Munich. Nuremberg led at halftime 2-0 and Dieter Dear Wirth came on in the 78th minute mark, as Bayern now led 3-2. The game ended 4-2 for Bayern. Nevertheless, the second place in the DFB Cup was the greatest success in the career of Dieter Dear Wirth.

A trainer

After his playing career in 1987, he was assistant coach for the citizens of Nuremberg and 1988 again reactivated for three games. On April 10, 1990, he took over the head coach position of Hermann Gerland, was replaced by Dutchman Arie Haan in the season again, but continued to work as an assistant coach. In 1991 he took over as head coach of the amateur Oberliga Quelle Fürth in his hometown. He remained here coach until 2002. Since 2003 he is back in the service of the 1st FC Nuremberg as an assistant coach. His biggest success as an assistant coach was the DFB Cup victory in 2007. From 2007 to 2010 Dear Wirth was responsible for the U19 of 1.FC Nuremberg. End of December 2012, he took over as coach for the regional division SC Eltersdorf.
