Diethard Finkelmann

Diethard Finkelmann ( born July 15, 1941 in Potsdam ) is a former German handball player. In 1966 he became world champion in field handball with German team.

Finkelmann played at the Reinickendorfer foxes Berlin. In June 1971 he was obliged by the Hamburger SV. After a year he returned before the Olympic Games to the Reinickendorfer foxes back.

The 1.86 meter tall Finkel man stood in the squad of the German national handball team at the field 's Handball World Championship for Men 1966 ( World Champion), the handball World Cup 1970 ( 5th place) and 1972 Olympics (6th place ). In the Olympics, he threw in five games a goal. Overall had Finkelmann in 68 international matches with, in which he scored 50 goals, of which 13 international matches and scored three goals on the field handball team.
